Julie leads the Employee Benefits team of service providers at GrowthPort Partners. Julie began her career in employee benefits in 1987 as the Assistant Underwriter at a highly respected general agency located in Encino, California. She gained invaluable experience in the comprehensive underwriting process that provided her great insight and knowledge in expediting sensitive requests to facilitate approvals for case placement.

Julie transitioned into partnering with brokers in 1992, and expanded her knowledge from health insurance benefits to include policies that offered financial planning for individuals and businesses.
In 2006, Julie became a licensed agent in California. Since that time, Julie has worked directly on client renewals and RFPs, creating and reviewing plan designs for fully and self-insured plans, and preparing a variety of case-specific information from bidding carriers for consideration during the annual competitive bid analysis. Julie is masterful at spreadsheets and contrasting mounds of data for analysis in the decision making process.

Over the past few years, Julie has taken on the lead special servicing role of customer service processing new hires enrolling, status and coverage changes, auditing and reconciliation of invoices from multiple insurance carriers, claims processing and appeals, and other related employee benefits service needs.

In addition to working in the insurance industry, Julie dedicates time to her family, and serving the community. Active in PTA, and her church, Julie is dedicated to serving others, and is very detail oriented. Her focus and drive make a difference in her attitude toward sterling customer service. Julie truly enjoys what she does, and that comes through in every interaction with clients.
